Why are conservatives so against health care?

I see a lot of conservatives making the devil of health care when what it will do will help people. I mean personally, I need epilepsy medication and cannot afford it without insurance and now I have more time to my 26th birthday to get something besides my parents Do not yell at me please, I just want to know why.
