MOVING TO DENVER! My Boyfriend, daughter and I (expecting!) What are some nice family areas ! Please HELP ME!?

YOUNG couple in NEED!! : ) The reviews for apartments have been scary speaking of gangs and what not! Its been so challenging to pick an apartment all the way from Indiana. I dont have a job yet but we are staying with a family member. So I wont be sure where my "job" will be. I want to raise my kids there and enjoy the awesome weather there! Please does anyone have any positive suggestions on a 2bd around $700 apartment out there!? THANKS
