Is there a type of insurance or compensation for this..... ?

I work as a landscapers apprentice and im on quite a basic wage and need all the money i can get. As all my work is obviously outside, we cant control the weather. Back at christmas when it snowed i lost about 2-3 weeks work so that resulted in me losing money. Another example of this is today, i got up for work but because its been forecasted heavy rain all day the site i was meant to be working on has been closed resulting in again me missing out on a days wage. I was just wondering if there is kind of insurance that workers can get for loss of work due to weather conditions or something ? thanks !
