Turning in a financed car..NEED MAJOR ADVICE!!!?

Hi. So we got a car through our credit union, but my husband is no longer working/getting unemployement and we cant afford to pay for car $234 plus insurance roughly $150/mo. The bank has frozen our almost $1500 and wont return any money to us. We are struggling financially and not sure as to what to do now. We want to just file Bankcrupcy and be done with our debt. Our credit is not good. ANY GOOD ADVICE? PLEASE HELP. THANKS.
