Hi i have a psn account that i don't remember the password to because i have it set to auto sign in and i did?

not enter in my date of birth but just a random one, is there any way i can go on to my old hdd go into sign in and make it show all the letters . i am not trying to hack an account i just need to know if i can get rid off those dots that do not allow you to see the password after they are entered and just show me it because i really need it .
