You have to remember that the stories you hear about bad doctors are vastly over-hyped. Yes, there are bad doctors out there. But a few bad apples shouldn't scare you away from the whole bunch. It's very scary when a doctor, a person who you're supposed to trust with your body, acts in a manner that is contrary to your best interest as a patient. It is because these things are so scary, that they stick out so much, and they become exaggerated. Most doctors are hard-working, ethical, and are focused on their patients. Car crashes are much more likely than shark attacks, but people don't stop driving, do they?
