I dropped an 85lb curl bar on my foot and don't know if it is broken...?

2 months ago I was at the gym and dropped a straight curl bar on my foot. The bar naturally rested about about 3.5-4 inches off the ground because of the weight plates on the end--so it wasn't full impact on my foot. It hurt when it happened, but there was no swelling and the pain was not severe. It's now been 2 months and it still hurts sometimes when I walk on it. I sometimes have to limp or stop walking when it starts hurting. I would just go get an xray, but I don't have any insurance so I want to get a "second opinion" before I go pay a doc for an xray. Any ideas?
